Round 6 vs Birmingham Gardens match abandoned due to bad weather.

 

D6’s 19/11/16

D6’s played Kahibah Sports Cricket Club this weekend and after winning the toss and electing to bat made their highest score of the season helped by a 2nd wicket partnership of 102 between Wayne Diemar & Jordan Walker the team finishing 6 for 227 from their 35 overs.

 

Best with Bat: Wayne Diemar (74), Jordan Walker (46) & Michael Sharp (38)

 

In reply Kahibah could only manage 9 for 183 from their 35 overs.

C3’s 12/11/16  

Round 6 vs Elliotts Lambton match abandoned due to bad weather.

 

C3’s 19/11/16

Round 7 saw our C3’s taking on the Homesville XI side. Our skipper lost the toss and was asked to bowl first. Our bowlers did well keeping the Homesville XI to 9 for 145 from their 35 overs.

 

Best with Ball: Nathan Stoodley (2-8), Zane Leathley (2-29) & John Barrett (2-42).

 

In reply our batters struggled and fell all out for 95 off 34.1 overs.

 

Best with Bat: Kevin Mason (25).

 

 

A Grade 12/11/16

Round 6 vs Maryland Tavern CC match abandoned due to bad weather.

 

A Grade 19/11/16

Round 7 had our A Graders versing Warners Bay. After winning the tossand electing to bat first our batters did a solid job getting 8 for 228for their 40 overs.

 

Best with Bat: Jayson Pratten (80*), Mark McLachlan (53) & Craig Plain (42).

 

Our Bowlers never let Warners Bay into the game bowling them out for 75 in 25 overs.

 

Best with Ball: Cameron Haines (6-26) & Lyle Mcguigan (3-7).

 

 

The District Grades all played Stockton-Raymond Terrace Round 5 & Wests Round 6.

 

 

4th Grade 12/11/16

Round 5 vs Stockton-Raymond Terrace match drawn due to bad weather.

 

4th Grade 19/11/16

Round 6 vs Wests saw our 4th Grade up at Empire Park and losing the toss we were asked to bowl first. We didn’t bowl for long however bowling Wests out for 38 from 19.4 overs.

 

Best with Ball: Ryan Osborne (5-13) & Sam Marr (3-6).

 

Our 4s managed to win by 10 wickets as our opening batters saw us home in 8.1 overs finishing 0 for 42.

 

Best with Bat: Matthew Richards (25*) & Nick Leahy (17*)

 

 

3rd Grade 12/11/16

Round 5 vs Stockton-Raymond Terrace match drawn due to bad weather.

 

3rd Grade 19/11/16

3rd grade travelled over to Richard Ford Oval for this match vs Wests and winning the toss on what looked a belter of a wicket our skipper chose to bat first. Our 2 opening batters Rory Kalnins and Patrick Huolohan put on an opening partnership of 103 batting past the first drinks break and putting the team in a strong position to score big runs in the last few overs with wickets in hand. Patrick then went on to have a 2nd wicket partnership of 61 runs with Zac McGuigan and a 50 run 3rd wicket partnership with Phil Stanbrigde. In an innings of class Pat carried his bat throughout the innings and the team ended 4 for 234 from their 40 overs.

 

Best with Bat: Patrick Huolohan(119*), Phil Stanbridge (35) & Rory Kalnins (34).

 

Wests were unable to match our 3rd Graders run rate and were bowled out for 108 in 31.2 overs. Special mention to Tommo Croft for taking 2 unbelievable catches running backwards and diving full stretch in what have to be contenders of catch of the season special memories for those who watched them.

2nd Grade 12/11/16

Our 2nd Graders where the only match to get underway this weekend as they played Stockton-Raymond Terrace at our home ground Townson Oval.

With the weather causing a few problems around the area the guys turned up to a good sight. Seeing that the pitch wasn’t too bad our skipper won the toss and chose to bat first and with a solid start with a 1st wicket partnership of 80 runs between Jono Dunn and Scott Montgomery a 72 run 5th wicket partnership between Josh Emerton and Dan Andrews and a 57 run 6th wicket partnership between Dan Andrews and Carl Bolte the side was able to make a competitive total from their 40 overs of 5 for 254.

 

Best with Bat: Josh Emerton (59), Dan Andrews (51*), Jono Dunn (46), Scott Montgomery (44) & Carl Bolte (35*).

 

Our bowlers never gave Stockton a look in as Stockton’s run rate was never able to match what our batters did earlier in the day. We managed to bowl Stockton out for 128 off 38.2 overs winning by 126 runs and getting 2 bonus points.

 

Best with Ball: Jono Dunn (2-18) Thomas McKendry (2-28) & Sam Holding (2-34).

 

2nd Grade 19/11/16

Wests won the toss and elected to bat at Townson Oval this week. And our bowlers shared the wickets around this week bowling wests out for 154 after 37.1 overs.

 

Best with Ball: Jono Dunn (3-15), Josh Emerton (2-13), Mitch Morgan (2-25) & Thomas McKendry (2-37)

 

Jono would continue his day out with the bat carrying it through the inning as we chased down the target finishing 2 for 159 in 28.1 overs

 

Best with Bat: Jono Dunn (97*) & Sam Gilmour (25).

   

 

1st Grade 12/11/16

Round 5 vs Stockton-Raymond Terrace match drawn due to bad weather.

 

1st Grade 19/11/16

Round 6 saw our 1st Graders play away to Wests at Alfred Harker Oval. Winning the toss our skipper elected to bat first and in a very hard fought 50 overs our batters managed to score 7 for 254.

 

Best with Bat: Troy Goodwin (76), Pat Darwen (43), Josh Geary (40), Trent Bush (36) & Ben Egan (31*).

 

This game was going right down to the wire as West got to 9 for 220 from their 50 overs. Some tight death over bowling helped hold them back from our target.

 

Best with Ball: Josh Geary (4-29) & Pat Darwen (3-51).

 

1st Grade 20/11/16

Round 7 Sunday match against Cardiff-Boolaroo at Townson Oval. Our side was sent into bat after we lost the coin toss and our batters did not waist any time, All of our batters made starts in what was an awesome one day performance the guys managed to put on a total of 4 for 325 from their 50 overs.

 

Best with Bat:Trent Bush (91), Simon Moore (55*), David Celep (50),  Ben Egan (36), Josh Geary (35) & Josh Emerton (30*)

 

Our bowlers managed to bowl Cardiff-Boolaroo out for 112 from 33 overs.

 

Best with Ball: Courtney Moulton (3-21), Sam Palmer (3-24) & Isasc Hillery (2-22)
