Day 2:

With the day starting 4 for 10 the in batsman started well putting on another 50 runs before the 5th wicket fell but after that break-though the Ham-wicks bowlers were able to take our remaining wickets and we fell all out for 81runs.

Still 156 runs behind and plenty of overs in hand our team were asked to follow on. This time around saw some solid batting and after 31 overs and the total 2 for 136 both captains called the game finishing with a first innings loss but great fight to save the outright.

Our 2s started the just as they did the week before with our bowlers doing a great job and with the Hamilton-Wickham batters playing a more defensive innings it took a little longer to take all wickets taking 43 overs and the total on 137.

Best with Ball: Sam Holding (5-26) & Mitch Morgan (2-22)

This left the guys 37 overs left to play chasing 98 runs to claim outright victory. This didn’t go to plan as the Ham-wicks bowlers were able to take quick wickets and the game became a lot harder for our 2s then it should have been. Sadly for us we were bowled out for 80 runs in 31.1 overs ending the game with an outright loss with first innings points.
